Long Term Effects :
-The Stanford Prison Guard experiment has made an shock on the field of psychology. It officially showed that social roles are dominant strength in human nature the guards and prisoners lived as though they were actually guards and prisoners. But it also proved and tested how a position in a certain situation can effect role management and mindset.
-People will easily fit to the common act they are to play normal, if the roles are as fully standardized as those of the prison guards. The “prison” setting was a critical cause in forming the guards’ ruthless behavior none of the participants who acted as guards showed vicious weakness before the study. So, the roles that people play can show their presence and point of view or true inner self.
-Prisoners felt a feeling of depression and hopelessness.
